We should brainstorm on a some cover art graphics for the landing page of the Foundations book.

I would love to get something prettier on the landing page prior to the EarthCube meeting, even if it's just a placeholder.

I'm thinking of replacing landing_page.md with a landing_page.ipynb notebook that generates some sort of cool image from some data. Then we can use the JupyterBook feature to hide code cells.

The curious reader will still be able to open the underlying code, but it won't be in the way.

That would be a great use of the hide code cells feature

A temporary cover image was added in #80

We will revisit once the new theme is in place.
