keep task selected when changing priority #131
Comments
Sadly this project seems dead. A pity because it really was quite a good one. |
i think it was the best one out there. |
totally agree. perhaps it would have been better to have invested more time to improve the old version. Now there are two incomplete versions. |
dead or dead... it is open source so anybody can take over. I had to go over to more advanced task management solution due to work change |
Nope. I wouldn't have worked on that (the old one). |
which one? if I can ask... |
We use http://asana.com at work. priorietary stuff but it works. Someone should make a similar open source solution one day. Seems all I found where focused on time management and not task management. Btw @fuchsmich if you are still here it would be great if you could manage to fix that task sorting bug. It must be something inside qml |
i used asana at a previous job. worked really nice, but there was 1 or 2 on the team that didn't. made things a bit more difficult for us without everyone on it and using it consistently. but it is a good product. (not promoting it btw, just my $.02). |
whe I select a task and change its priority so that the position of the task in the current view changes, then the task gets deselected and another task gets selected (the task which has now taken the position within the list where the old task was before).
So if I have:
(A) text1
(A) text2
(B) text3
(C) text4
(D) text5
and I change the priority of text1 to (B), the task moves down the list and text2 is selected instead. This is annoying and counterintuitive as I often change several levels of priorities of one task at the same time (with the keyboard shortcut or the button), which is impossible because the focus jumps to another task.
Would it be possible to let the task be selected even if the position within the list changes?
Or are there any reasons to favour the current behaviour?
