signing AND encrypting

There is currently no way to sign and encrypt the message in one go, and if I do both operations sequentially (regardless of their order), there seems to be no way to decrypt and verify the message so created.

You are correct about not being able to sign and encrypt in one step , we will look into adding this in a future release.
Can you please explain why you are not able to decrypt and verify the message , are you referring to being able to do it in one step or are you not able to do it even when doing it in separate single steps.

If the message was first encrypted and then signed, then I can only verify the signature but I fail to decrypt the message.

If the message was first signed and then encrypted, then I can only decrypt the message but fail to verify the signature.

Seems that only the outermost PGP container is processed for inbound messages.

The changes to decrypt signed messages has been pushed to the repo , it will be added to the next release or if you wish you can roll your copy of the plugin.

Finally do you want the single sign + encrypt or is clicking encrypt and then sign buttons ok ?
