I know it is possible to convert .gb/.gbc games using goomba to .gba however some games do not work via goomba conversion (Pokemon Crystal, Major Graphical Distortions) and aren't realistically playable. is it possible for VBA-Next for switch to be able to read .gb/.gbc files?
Thanks for the time,
Ryan

at it's core vba-next switch is a port of the vba-next retroarch core which is solely a Gameboy Advance emulator. So no, the GB and the GBA are two completely independent systems, it isn't possible.
If you want to play Game Boy games on your Switch, take a look at the official libretro cores which are already ported. I'm not sure, but there's maybe already a GB emulator ported.
