In the use latest python episode, we briefly touch on keeping packages up to date.
This a much larger topic which comes under the umbrella of reproducibility, in future it would be nice to refer to further reading on the topic.
The upcoming https://rse.shef.ac.uk/training/fair4rs/ reproducibility course may be appropriate, I'm not sure how Python specific it will be though.
