Stuff might be a bit broken since this was a pretty big refactor, for the sake of my sanity.

I had to break some backwards compatibility for the sake of introducing a couple new features / making code more maintainable going forwards, so apologies for that.

  • Status text/modifier text can be positioned
  • More text can be colored/have their fonts set
  • Overhauled font handling/caching
  • Draw ticks should generally take less time now, which should fix some issues with input lag people have been noticing

Small incremental release from 2.10.1-c: I'm standardizing the versioning name a bit, as well as dropping a release for the autotools stuff.

2.10 did some weird stuff and I basically released vanilla i3lock somehow.

changed from upstream, as well as:

  • indicator positioning
  • obeying locale
  • ring width
  • keylayout stuff
  • more font stuff
  • text alignment options

Note: this now requires an extra lib (lib x11) for compiling, since keyboard layout is pretty much entirely in X11. Hopefully that doesn't cause issues, but if need be, I can work around it similarly to how the compose options are #defined

2.9.1-c

I fixed a handful of bugs present in 2.9, and felt it was appropriate to release a point release with them (and hey, a few new arguments, too).

I'm a bit loathe to just tag it as "2.9.1", because I feel like upstream might use that tag, and I'm trying to match their tags as closely as possible for now.
