These are some my thoughts on workshop format. Let me know your feedback and how we can improve.

  • Workshop can be divided into multiple short sessions, let's say 30 minutes each. Mentor can present 15 minutes of content and give exercises at the end. Audience can work on those exercises for 15 minutes. Solutions will be discussed at the end, move on to next session.
  • Its better to have multiple mentors for each workshop based on availability. This well allow us to help more people during practice sessions.
  • Mentors can share the sessions to teach. For example, if we have 3 mentors and 6 sessions, each mentor can teach 2 sessions based on his interest.
  • Slack group can be used for communication during and after workshop.

This is really nice. It will create a good space of everyone to interact with each other and learn.
I also like the idea of multiple mentors, so mentors can learn from each other as well.
