It seems nice but could potentially open users to vulnerabilities, if anything in the chain gets compromised it would just get pushed and run on users' PCs. |

yes, fully automatic updating is a whole new ball game and all sort of permissions/virusscanner/blocker issues could interfere the process. And then support channel would be full of tickets complaining how automatic installer doesn't work because of PC permissions etc. |

I would 100% hate it if I was playing a game and my controller decided to update randomly! XD I'm kind of an odd case, though, because I use d4w as my mouse, so it's on 100% of the time. This also means that I'm often a few days late to the update party, though, since I don't turn off d4w for several days, or weeks, at a time. Would be nice if the app could check for updates by itself and pop a notification for us to click if we want to update now or wait. That way we get notified when an update is available, but doesn't interrupt using the controller until we are ready. |

You can create a TaskScheduler job to run DS4Updater.exe app twice a week or something because when this app is run manually then it will check if there are new updates and installs those automagically. Then it is up to you to deal with the potential permissions issues (like running the taskScheduler job with elevated privileges) |

I am against the idea of automatically pushing out an app update without user intervention. There are a few ways to check for updates already along with a manual check that can be run at any time. |

The software is often updated, which is really nice :) , but I was wondering if it would be possible to have an option for auto-update or something of the kind.
It would be a quality of life improvement, but if it's to complicated or not really possible (or simply not worth it), it's fine!
Thanks!!!
