Notification when gamepad is low on battery?

It is really frustrating when the gamepad starts to run low on battery and you're in the middle of a game and suddenly the battery gets drained... I know this is not a technical issue with the software I just think it would be helpful to have a notification sound, or a dialog to pop up when the gamepad starts to run low on battery like at 10% so that im aware of the battery situation. Thanks!

There is a option to set the light on the controller depending on the battery, if you want a notice it's actually pretty neat to be able to glance at my controller and see pink and think ok my controller is half charged or so

Problem with dialogs is they don't play nice with full screen stuff usually, either causing issues or pulling the user back to the desktop entirely

I get you, they would have to run with the game itself I think.

Besides the Lightbar by battery % feature pointed out by the other user you can set a special action that when triggered will display the current battery by showing a notification and/or by temporarily changing the the lightbar color

found this one while creating my discussion ( #2708 ).
different light is quite OK (though I can't tell by it if it's 30% or 15% left).
also notification in most games I play never shows up (like Cyberpunk or NFS Heat).
Please take a look at my #2708 and see if it's easy to make.
For me it's quite hard or will take several days (weeks? :) ) to complete(

actually a sound is more than enough because are you really looking at your control when playing a game? sorry if this doesn't reply or adds to your post but since i made this thread some months ago i had to read everything and im still having this "issue", there isn't something that notifies the user when the control is about to die, and with some games you need to restart the game. so, yeah there's that.

When its a glowing bar and you are holding it, you tend to notice it a bit more lol. Sounds would get lost in the other sounds the system is making, especially if its in a game

beg to differ, i am more focused on the game actually, maybe it's just me but i find it very odd for me to be looking at my controller at any given moment... hopefully a fix for this gets sorted out that doesn't include the lighting bar i really have nothing more to add other than ggs lol

yep, same to me - this whole thing for me is perfect (DS4W), but when playing race games or hard actions I can barely notice changing led color)
some special sound made by controller could do the trick, or adding some external info, or OSD popup like MSI Afterburner/RivaTSS does.
not sure how it's easy to do though :(
how it is now makes user experience a bit tensioned, because PS4 itself notifies when DS4 gets low battery and here I need to keep in mind checking it every now and then, hope you get this point.
