Smooth mouse cursor movement #2960

Based on my experience, any smoothing being applied is not what you are experiencing. It is Steam throwing away the remainder from the mouse movement. That takes away much of the gradient of the analog stick and splits it into hard defined regions. Also, I am not sure Steam even takes the time delta between gamepad polls into account. Either way, I find Steam Input stick mouse far too stiff no matter what settings are used. There are some measures put in place in DS4Windows to minimize possible jitter not related to poll rate. With the way bindings are set up, it would be a bit difficult to apply a smoothing routine. Not sure how much it would really help in the end anyway. Got a lot of other tasks here and AFK to worry about. |

Possibility of adding some smoothing to the mouse cursor movement? Over bluetooth, when driving the cursor with a stick, it's never perfectly smooth. There is a fairly regular stutter. The less stable or higher latency the connection is the more stuttery the movement.
Steam Input seems to mask this to some extent. I think it's doing some smoothing to the cursor movement, enough that camera movement, etc, feels smooth.
I've tried three BT devices, 1 is almost perfect, the other 2 are quite bad with DS4W. Though they are all good enough for regular stick input. With steam input they all feel fairly similar.
