jQuery Numeric does not work in IE8 when using jQuery 1.7> #44

As mentioned in the title, jQuery Numeric allows non-numeric input (i.e. letters) into inputs in IE8 when using jQuery 1.7>. I can put together a jsFiddle if desired.
