KQL (Kusto Query Language) is the Language used by Kusto (Azure Data Explorer).

A lexer should be able to be ported from one of the following:

(Personally, I would love this downstream for Notepad++ use.)

Any updates on this? It doesn't even look like this is assigned to anyone.

I found someone's custom language that when imported does the job, but I'm not a fan of how userdefined languages fall outside the list of languages to select and are instead embedded on the bottom of the language menu, intermixed with non-language-specific options. It looks bad.

With that said, I'm hoping this becomes a supported system language vs having to use UDL. Additionally another feature request I'd suggest is to include UDLs with the system supported languages.

On a side note, why isn't KQL even included as part of the Npp UDL Collection?

@mcdonamw

This project is independent and is not related to Npp.
It is used by Npp, and other applications, but its development and maintenance are completely independent.
So you should rather ask your question/request here.

As far as the creation of the lexer is concerned, there are no employees who take care of the programming, but is implemented and contributed to the project by those who choose and are interested in doing so.
