Not sure if you're looking for ideas but would there be away to make it so /scene, /me and the related commands could identify when talking is communicated and change highlights?
My example of this is...
John punches the wall before yelling out, "Son of a witch!".
The idea I'm suggesting is that it would recolor anything inside of the "..." to match normal text communication vs staying the same as the /me color
