Thus far we have a specialized Mimosa26/FE correlator that is working fine. But with the zoo of new chips a generic correlator is needed. This correlator should:

  • Take N input streams with hits from N interpreters
  • Correlate on trigger number range (selectable!)
  • Correlation histogram size should be specified as config option
  • Features of Mimosa26/FE correlator: suppress background, reset, only correlate activated histograms to save computational time
  • Unit test
