No AUX case for BNO085 (SlimeVR) chips #25
Comments
I decided to look in the untested folder and found it! im going to leave this up and report back on how well the chip fits. Speaking of how well the chip fits, I cant seem to get the BNO085 (SlimeVR) chip to fit into the tray without cutting out most of the walls around the slot for it. I dont believe its an issue with printer settings but as I said im new to this so its possible. Just seems a little too off to be my settings since everything else seems to be accurate |
so the file I found (https://github.com/Smeltie/Hyperion/blob/main/Untested/AUX_Housing_BNO08x.stl) is close but like the BNO08x tray its just a little too tight. I can probably cut it down like I have to do with the tray and make it work. I might try to get into the design files and modify it to fit but my confidence is fairly low |
Can you sand the edges of the BNO08 board to make it fit? |
Its a big enough difference that I need to cut away about half of the wall. I modified the files to make it fit, its a bit off but it works. |
Have you posted the STL's anywhere? I've just printed the ones from Untested folder, but waiting on the BNO08's to arrive from slimevr before I can build |
@ItsVRK no I havent, they are a bit too flawed for me to want to share them. I reached out to the creator on discord to see if he is willing to adjust them in a less jank way. I am going to move forward with my flawed version but id like to get the files fixed to avoid this situation in the future |
@ButterMeWaffle My BNO085's arrived from SlimeVR today and fit in the versions of https://github.com/Smeltie/Hyperion/blob/main/Untested/AUX_Housing_BNO08x.stl that I printed fine, perhaps you need to calibrate your printer? |
The AUX case is too small for the BNO085 (SlimeVR) chips. Any chance someone has this file? I can try to edit the existing design myself but I dont have any relevant experience for the job (new to 3d printing in general).
