I have a Pickit 5 programmer from Microchip that I've been using with the MPLAB IDE to program an ATTiny1606. I have come to the conclusion that I'd like out of the MPLAB IDE as it is a trap. I see that the avrdude program fully supports the 1606 along with the Pickit 5.
Is there an option I should select in the Arduino IDE to use avrdude with the megaTinyCore? Or should I just get a CH340 and call it a day?
