Minor planet numbering error

Not sure I’m in the right place, but here we go…

I was looking for the minor planet (asteroid) that was recently named in my honor, and it is identified as 107524 whereas its number is 727524.

There are potentially thousands of other such errors in identification…

How did you added this asteroid in Stellarium?

It’s a long and tedious process, but through the options for Solar System editor and the MPC files.

Hmm, I tried to select numbered elements 720000-729999, but after download only discovery codes are offered. This is indeed hard.

Maybe SolarSystemEditor::readMpcOneLineMinorPlanetElements() needs extension.
