I use Stremio on a Fire Cube 3rd Gen. Unfortunately, in ExoPlayer, DTS audio goes out of sync with the picture after a few minutes. Other audio formats work correctly. This issue can be resolved by disabling hardware acceleration. However, this breaks audio passthrough, causing my soundbar to receive only Multi-Channel PCM instead of Atmos/DTS, etc. Changing the "tunneled playback" setting does not affect this behavior.
LibVLC does not have the DTS audio sync issue, but it causes audio dropouts on the Cube and stutters when using subtitles.
The only workaround for DTS audio is to use Kodi as an external player.
The Kodi developers implemented a workaround for the Fire Cube 3rd Gen. Could a similar fix be added to Stremio? Is there something else I could try? https://forum.kodi.tv/showthread.php?tid=376161
To Reproduce
Use stremio (ExoPlayer) on Fire Cube 3rd Gen
Play a DTS(-HD) file
Expected behavior
Video playback with in-sync DTS audio and working passthrough
