Stremio Platform

Desktop App (Windows)

Describe the bug

App Version: 5.0.0-beta.19
Server Version: 4.20.11
Shell Version: 5.0.1
URL: https://127.0.0.1:11470/
Status: Online

Internal player is not able to play any of the streams. It just keeps loading. Connection statistics do show available Peers but speed is shown 0 MB/s. When played in external player (eg: VLC ) stream does play perfectly. While the stream is playing in external player Connection Statistics show all information - Peers, Speed, Completed as expected.

I have uninstalled and removed any associated files; and reinstalled the application. But the problem still persists. On android phone and TV (android) stream is working perfectly fine.

Last stable version 4.xxx works perfectly fine. Streams play in the internal player without any problem.

To Reproduce

  1. Play any stream.
  2. It keeps loading without connecting to anything.
  3. Play it via external player.
  4. Stream play perfectly in external player.

Expected behavior

Streams should load properly in internal player but they only work in external players.

Same OS and version, same app and server version but the shell version is 5.0.2.
Can run it as mentioned above - external player. Not running in the internal one
even when 100% loaded.

Image

Not sure if it is an issue with the browser or it is not supported but in the browser when I run it with the link from the internal app
there is no option to choose subtitles.
