ML Kit is not open source unfortunately. It would have been a great fit otherwise. |

I just found out about ML Kit. It says you can access local models on the device. Is there any reason you decided not to use that? Even though the models are local, does Google still send data back for training with our prompts (or do we suspect this)?
I would imagine that their ML Kit would have better performance than anything 3rd party is why I am asking.
