there has no update since years, now F-Droid marks the current version as vulnerable.

My question is:
Will there be an update or at least a security fix to solve the issue mentioned above?

Seconded. Weird also, that F-Droid has a way newer version than the releases shown on this site.

Also: What is the substitute?

Hi @dschuermann , some people (@6543 @sss @matsievskiysv for example) showed interest in maintaining this app, would you be interested in giving them some powers in this repo?
I noticed you've been arranging a similar hand-off on another app of yours (calendar-import-export, see this issue) with @woheller69 .
