Is it possible to create a seafile package?
Seafile is an open source alternative to Dropbox, see https://www.seafile.com/en/home/
It is said to be quite faster than owncloud when it comes to file syncing (in particular, since it supports syncing of only changed parts of files, so no more uploading a 5 MB word document because you changed one letter). It also has robust sync clients for Mac / Win and several mobile apps.

I have found a manual here: http://www.rooot.net/en/geek-stuff/synology/40-seafile-on-armv7-based-synology-diskstation-nas.html but it's beyond my abilities....

Thanks for re-opening. I think it would be a great addition to the list of available packages... In particular since it allows for open-source, transparently encrypted cloud files.

I happened to be working on this as well, in between other things. This project seems to have the longest string of undocumented requirements I've ever seen...
