I'm not sure what exactly causes this problem. I run and play on a multiplayer server with some friends (no more than 6 people are on at one time). Sometimes one chunk will be completely reset, as if it were just generated; overwriting any builds that were there.
The first time this happened it ate the ME system and I almost quit, thank god I had automatic backups on. Managed to restore the world and everything was fine.
I was about to brush it off as a one-off thing until it happened again today. We are all sharing a base and the chunk overwrite has happened in our common area both times.
The server we're using has 10gb of RAM allocated to it. First time this happened, 4 of us were exploring the end and I thought the server was trying to use RAM it didn't have, causing the issue.
The second time this happened the player was by themselves but using /home to travel.
How do I go about fixing this? I'd hate to be loading a previous save every day. Is it corruption? A specific mod maybe? Too much data in one chunk? A problem with /home? Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you in advance.
