You need so a GitHub fork of NewPipe to submit pull requests when you are not a team member with push access, it is a basic feature of GitHub (and other forges such as Gitlab or Forgeo) pull request workflow when contributing to external projects. (Note in the case you didn't know: you don't need to clone your fork locally and recreate your commits, you can configure a new remote pointing to your fork and reconfigure your local branches to point to your fork, so you can still fetch latest changes from the original NewPipe repository locally and use your fork. I am unable to push the code to the TeamNewPipe / NewPipe. I wanted to contribute in the bug fixing and new feature enhancements.
