Android: failure callback not called when there is no internet during registration

When I try to register for notifications and there is no internet neither the success or failure callback is called. This would be ok if the registration process would continue by itself after the internet comes back, but unfortunately it doesn't. I'm testing on a Sony Xperia C6603 with Android 4.4.4.

On iOS the push id is returned regardless if there is internet or not.
