Couldn't get the list of stories while writing chapter

I am a new fictioneer user. I've created two stories and some chapters. When writing a new chapter I'm having difficulties to set the story. Most of the time, the story list is not there. I need to like refreshing a few times to get the list. Is there something I could do to help make the story list return the corrrect data?

I tried to use dataase manually (set the value on post_parent by peeking the value of other working chapter), but it doesn't work.

I might miss something from the documentation, appreciate any help from the community. Thank you beforehand.

The chapter story assignment is currently not using the post_parent but a meta field called fictioneer_chapter_story. As for why the options do not appear immediately, I can only guess. Since they appear after refreshing, do you perhaps change the author of the chapter after creating the post? Because the story list is built on load, it is not refreshed when you change the author (unless you do not restrict by author, than that wouldn't matter).

If nothing of this is the cause, I really don't know. Perhaps enable debug mode and look at the error log

I understand now. I'm indeed creating some users to assign as the author of a story and a chapter because I add new data using an "administrator" account.

When I changed the author it's working correctly like you said.
