genuine question, why do you think so?
i mean i personally would like to remove BSO due to how annoying it makes dealing with captains as an antag (still need to pass those nerfs btw) but i don’t see why corps should be removed.

the justification for removing brigmed is that they often dont even function as a brigmed (treating prisoners injured in the brig) and instead just become a better paramedic and sec just doesnt need a team doctor during conflicts when theres an entire medical dept available

Counterpoint: Corpsman acts as a hard line between paramedics and security. In the absence of a dedicated combat medic, paramedics would inevitably begin to act in that role. With the presence of a corpsman you can easily draw the line of: As a paramedic, if it is dangerous... don't.

Now integrating corpsman as a part of medbay fully... thats a different thing. Medbay having a dedicated role that is supposed to drag people out of combat then hand the casualties over to the parameds for transport to medbay. That is a good idea in my eyes.

Whether we add Corpsman back or not, which is still likely because it's a very loved role, it might come in a vastly different form and not at the very beginning of our rebase. We're not sure yet, don't quote me on this.
