As of version 8.0 (the default when clicking the link to the Getting Started page), the project is no longer to build a blog, which can create confusion. The two options would be to update this project to no longer be about building a blog (although it would affect the relevance of previously submitted projects), or to link to version 7.2's Getting Started guide (the latest version which has the user build a blog: https://guides.rubyonrails.org/v7.2/getting_started.html)

I am okay with making the required changes but I don't feel like I'm in a position to decide what the best way to proceed is, so it might be simpler for someone else to make the change.

Thanks for taking the time to make this issue! I like the idea of using version 8.0, but that will require a bigger uplift, like having several people walk through the 8.0 tutorial to see if there are any issues and then also changing the lesson name (which happens on the main repo theodinproject. Therefore the quickest solution would be to update the link to version 7.2's blog for our current learners.

And also duplicate this issue so that we can take our time to make this change for Rails 8. I know that may feel like twice the work, but it allows us to fix this issue quickly, then iterate on it and make it better for the long run (this very common in an agile work flow).
