How to use cache ?

Hey,

According to the documentation, the library is supporting caching feature.
I couldn't make it working, here is what I did so far :

• run my app
• load some short video and wait until the end so I'm sure it'll be cached
• restart my app with a low connection (thanks to network link conditioner on iOS)
• the video is not playing (it looks like the video has to be refetched again before it starts to play)

After some investigation, I guess the cache is not enabled by default and some props needs to be passed but I'm not really sure what to do.

Here is my video component :

Yes for ios you miss this installation topic, https://docs.thewidlarzgroup.com/react-native-video/installation#video-caching
but I agree the link to enable it shall be provided the the caching page !
cacheSizeMB is not used on ios, it is android only

I've just added $RNVideoUseVideoCaching = true in my Podfile as mentioned in your link. After a pod install, it did install - SPTPersistentCache (1.1.0) and DVAssetLoaderDelegate (0.3.3).
After these changes, the video is not playing anymore (I need to remove shouldCache: true.
Did I miss something else ?

shouldCache will just be ignored. what king of video do you play ? If I remember well it works only on mp4, but maybe I am wrong ...

It's an mp4 video file.
The thing is : if I do shouldCache: true, the video is not playing. If I do shouldCache: false, the video is playing.
From what I see in the native code, shouldCache should be set to true.
