I'll start by saying that the Looking for one of these/Twitter lookup is a really killer feature. I was actually going to suggest something like fetching site metadata/Open Graph markup to pre-fill information about a project once the user types in the URL of the associated website -- something like what I'm doing on http://simplesharingbuttons.com/#info -- just type in the URL and click the Magic Wand icon (this is powered by http://fourtonfish.com/sitesummary/).
Maybe this could be used if the Twitter lookup fails to return any results? (Going even further, this could be combined with some kind of a screenshot-taking service, you could build something like this by yourself. It may not really be necessary for most projects, but I just think it would really bring the user experience to a top level for everyone, not "just" most people.)
