  • There are existing posts relating to my problem, but the solution given, doesn't work for me.

What happened?

I tried running docker compose up on my Mac with the latest Docker Desktop, and got:

$ docker compose up
WARN[0000] /Users/jgeerling/Development/YT-Spammer-Purge/docker-compose.override.yml: the attribute `version` is obsolete, it will be ignored, please remove it to avoid potential confusion 

Release version

2.16.6

Steps to reproduce

  1. Clone this repository
  2. Run docker compose up
  3. Profit!

What platform are you seeing this problem on?

MacOS

Oh hi Jeff, I fear you might be waiting a while on this getting updated. It has been some time since ThioJoe was last active in this repo (over a year ago now). I've been able to keep the lists up to date on their repo but I can't help here, nor do I think I'd be the best choice tbf.
Maybe a small nudge from someone such as yourself will remind him we exist though ;)

@Firecul heh, it's no biggie, I was just getting inundated by some random spam (hundreds of comments) about some new cryptocurrency.

I wasn't able to block the word, because they were posting like $Word instead of Word, and YouTube's filter doesn't allow terms with special characters at the start, I guess, and Word wasn't catching it either.

I think this would catch the $word stuff, we already have some crypto coins in the lists currently so if it's something that matches that pattern or any of the ones we normally catch just drop a message here or in the spam list repo and I'll add it to there.
