Screen Lock security never registers

Current Behavior:

During setup, when prompted for screen lock irrespect to what method i chosen...On completion the system does not register it. Rather i get a quick toast message to the effect of 'Your pin/swipe/password was not replaced'

Describe the bug

The system does not register any screen lock security. Phone is left unlockable by simple press of power button

To Reproduce

1. Go to Security
2. Click on set pin/swipe/password
3. Finish pin/swipe/password inputs
4. See error
