From now on, to improve productivity, and reduce conflicts the following workflow will be suggested.
Suggest idea Issues Tab -> "Suggest a new feature"
Issue has label "idea: suggested"
Once suggestion has been seen set to "idea: deciding"
Once suggestion has been confirmed, set to "idea: accepted"
At this point the issue is open to public (if not already got an assignee).
User that wants to work on feature comments on feature
I would like to work on this feature ..... I can start working on this on xx/xx/2024 I estimate to finish on xx/xx/xx.
I will start by following these steps:
- create view xyz
- create service layer xyz
- create templates: xyz, yxz, ....
work request gets approved, user becomes assignee and issue title becomes "progress: issue_name"
message sent to user on estimate finish date asking if user needs help
if no response and issue is inactive user gets unassigned and issue is back open to public
if worked on, user creates a pull request with a statement of "closes #issue_id" at the end of PR.
issue gets closed
Documentation for this will soon be added. Any comments or suggestions are welcome!
