How does the Ruffles transport compare with the Unity transport?

I need to switch to Ruffles because it has some functionality I would like to use.

Will this be more performant, less performant or maybe the same as the default Unity transport? And what about security? More or less secure? I can't find any information about either of them and I would really like to know. Is there any reason I should avoid Ruffles? It says it's built for high performance and strong security but how does it compare with the Unity transport?
