The scope of what is currently known of preps is smaller. However without doubt unrepl will benefit from new features pushed by prepl.
(It's also comforting to see that prep independently settled on the chars-in/edn-out design.)
A few days ago, some new feature appeared in clojure 1.10 alpha that overlaps greatly with what unrepl is trying to do: clojure/clojure@86a158d.
From what I heard on reddit, it was not coordinated or inspired by the work done here.
Are there fundamental differences in the the design of unrepl and prepl, or are the idea of unrepl finally going into clojure.core?
