The game crashes with a black screen on startup. It doesn't give out any error, but from the logs I get this: "Can't Initialize DirectMusicPerformance8 object (80004002)
X2W_ErrorPrintfID:ID 13
Failed creating IDirectSound8 Object.
X2W_ErrorPrintfID:ID 9
Abnormal shutdown". If you are wondering, no, I am not using headphones with a DS4 controller. I'm using the rear panel audio port to play audio. I have the sampling rate set to 44100hz. I tho
ught it might've been due to using HeSuVi for virtual surround with my headphones, but the game still crashes after disabling it. I tried using a few DirectSound wrappers with the game, such as DSOAL and IndirectSound. With DSOAL there's an error given out when it crashes, but it's "Failed creating IDirectSound8 Object.". With IndirectSound there's no error, it just crashes. MGS2_VFix_debug.txt
