Compatibility Report

  • GPU: AMD RX 6700
  • Video driver version: Mesa 24.3.4-arch1.1
  • Kernel version: 6.13.3-arch1-1
  • Proton version: 9.0-4 and Experimental

I confirm:

  • that I haven't found an existing compatibility report for this game.
  • that I have checked whether there are updates for my system available.

Symptoms

Game instantly crashes after starting logos. Similiar to King Of Fighters XIII Steam Edition before it was fixed by a Proton patch.

Reproduction

Launch the game using any Proton version.

Hello @JohannesLotterDev, as a workaround, does setting the game's launch options to -v (from #214 (comment)) have an effect?

From the Proton log, it looks like quartz has a bad time, which made the game fall over, afterwards wine's debugger had a secondary issue which ran until running out of virtual memory and inflated the log. This log would have compressed well in an archive, most likely didn't need to be hosted externally.

Thank you, I have no idea what "-v" does but it seems to work. Game launched fine and I even played an online match with no issues.
