It's great to see this project iterate so quickly. Congrats on the progress so far. It leads me to wonder if you have any clearly defined goals/timeline for the coming year? Any sort of roadmap, even a general outline would be most welcome.

I can think of the following impactful milestones:

  • Interactive PHP/WP/Gutenerberg version switcher – for testers
  • Exporting and importing the Playground state and starter content – so folks can easily populate their initial Playground state e.g. for plugin demos or interactive WordPress translations editor
  • Ability to build interactive WordPress courses and embed editable and runnable code snippets in the existing courses
  • A complete WordPress development environment in the browser (terminal, code editor, WordPress preview, ability to open an arbitrary PR)

I'm open to any ideas you'd like to suggest. Also, it may be that open-source contributors will see a need for yet another feature and we'll see a completely different set of features.

As for the timeline, there isn't any.

Nice. Kind of reminds me of what StackBlitz are trying to achive too (but not specifically for WP).

@dgwyer I've created a rough roadmap here. Would love to hear what you think! I'll go ahead and close this issue and we can continue discussion there if that works for everyone 🙏
