What does minclip do?

I'm currently only using mincut because it makes the most sense (removes when silence reaches certain amount).
From what I understand, minclip will only keep the clip when it strictly reaches the audio threshold for the entire duration set. Is this intentional or am I missing something?

minclip and mincut doesn't care about threshold, only about the clip/cut lengths.

The definition for minclip is:

minclip: if a clip's length is a certain amount too small, flip it to a cut
mincut: if a cut's length is a certain amount too small, flip it to a clip

What would the use case for minclip be?

I find that when I used it for videos with commentary that it would skip a percentage of the clips which can throw the clips out of context.

Imagine that a random blip creates a clip that's exactly one frame long. An edit like would be would be distinctly inhuman and distracting to viewers. minclip fixes this problem.
