\columnbreak typesets "auto" online?

In the firstStepsInXimera.tex there is the following block of code:

Click on the green Use this template'' button and select Create a
new repository.'' Give it a fun repository name, and push the button \columnbreak
``Create repository.'' At this point you have your own personal copy of our repository
\verb!ximeraFirstSteps!.

This block renders the following block online:

Notice the start of the second line, there is an erroneous

auto

in the text, which also appears to eat the space before the quote at the start of create repository''. I can only infer that this is generated as part of the \columnbreak`` command somehow.

Note, this erroneous "auto" does not appear in the pdf, it only seems to show up online. This was found specifically in the local server displayed version of the online content generated in the codespace - as opposed to publishing to one of the testing or production servers, and/or publishing from a local computer deployment environment.
