Update on the closure of the MeshCentral.com public server. On the 12th of August 2023 I changed the code in the public server to automatically sent a agent uninstall command to the agents that connected and that worked. So, most agents have been remotely uninstalled which is the safe and secure thing to do. There is no chance of take over of these computers, etc. MeshCentral Assistant's have not been remotely uninstalled since I never built support for remote uninstall in them, but this is a very small number of connections.
As an additional background detail. I used to have a "Visual Studio Enterprise" account at Microsoft thru Intel, but that was disabled later in the day of August 12th and when that happened, Microsoft halted the virtual machine MeshCentral.com was running on. By the way, this is why August 12th was the end date, it was not a time I selected. I have a new personal subscription in Azure now, but you can't move VM's from one subscription to another which is super annoying. Anyway, in the shuffle, opted to host the MeshCentral.com web site on GitHub pages, so there is a new repo here with that site. This is great because there are no longer any recurring costs and so, the project can go on indefinitely like this.
Let me know if there are any questions.
