Error when pairing with wminput

Hi, I'm trying to use my wiimote as lightgun on a raspberry pi 4b and when trying to pair the wiimote using wminput I get the following error:

ValueError: PyCapsule_GetPointer called with incorrect name

Can you please assist? Thank you!

I got the same problem and came here for a solution. Apparently there is none so far.

I then used the setup by the-raspberry-pi-guy and got it working fairly easily. It only needed some adaptions for python3 instead of python2.

So anyone struggling with this error: have a look at the-raspberry-pi-guy setup
