Feature Request: add the possibility to add comments to files

Hi,

recently, I've been testing your plugin and I like it. However I've got a feature request. I think that it would be nice if you could provide the possibility to add comments to the files stored in the folder.

Hi Kathrin - may I ask you what kind of comments you would like to use? Do you want the teacher to have the possibility to comment on each student/file so that just this student sees the comment. Or would you like to have some kind of peer review feature, so that every student would be able to comment - or just 1-1 (student - teacher) communication?

I think that could be an option for the trainer to decide. In the setting of the folder he could enable comments:
a, that only trainers are able to post comments to a file and all students can read those
b, trainers and students can leave comments to files

What do you think?

Ok we will discuss it furthermore but have some concerns about the massive amount of comments and the layouting of those, especially when all will be able to post some comments. Thanks for your thoughts though.

Hi Kathrin,

the issue is still in our backlog, but with low priority. It will certainly not make it into the 3.1 version of the plugin. There are still quite a number of issues with higher priority waiting to be implemented (one of them being your request #15).

Hi Kathrin, so we just had our planning session for 3.4 and we have to admit, that this feature is not top prioritized for our release. It seems to be not an issue for the AMC partner Universities. I just wanted to let you know. Sorry for not being able to implement this feature wish for now.

the feature is still not an topic for our AMC partners and we don't have the ressources to implement something in this direction. There are still so many other requests with higher priority, so that we won't implement it. Sorry.

Well, it would be a nice feature. I can upload a separate file with the comments, but it is not convenient at all this way.

This topic is still not on our roadmap. But if somebody provides a good implementation as a PR, we would accept it.
