ARC running on AKS Cluster. Waiting for runner to come online - SSL Connection

Hi everyone.

I'm working on getting a cluster up and running and connected to our github enterprise server.
So far i've managed to bring the controller and listeninger online, so it does report as online on the github server.

However when im trying to run an actual job, it's stuck on the "Waiting for runner to come online" state.

As far as i can see from the logs of the runners that is being spun up, it's failing to establish an SSL connection

GET request to https://github.server.com/_services/pipelines/xyz/_apis/connectionData?connectOptions=1&lastChangeId=-1&lastChangeId64=-1 failed. System.Net.Http.HttpRequestException: The SSL connection could not be established, see inner exception.

DNS resolves as expected from the runners

Update: Just tested jumping into a bash shell on the pod. if i run the "run.sh" script, it will immediately pick up the job and start running. I still dont get what is preventing it from picking it up it self
