See #22. It seems that GHC's mechanism for reporting insoluble constraint errors is fragile and non-extensible. This should probably be fixed in GHC.
On the uom-plugin side, perhaps the new custom type errors functionality will allow better and more reliable reporting of insoluble constraints.
