VSCode Version: 1.61.2
OS Version: Windows 10 Home
Tomcat Extension Version: v0.12.1

Steps to Reproduce:

create a new project using java extension on vscode
select maven-archetype-webapp as a template
generate .war
start tomcat
and they want me to sign in to access localhost

edit:
i've tried on eclipse and it works
