Hello Wizards,

I have an issue with openfortivpn where it's getting stuck at "Settings new routes" but when I use forticlient on windows establish the tunnel and then SSH to the ubuntu server and then try to connect with openfortivpn it works perfectly.

I tried to update the server so that maybe some missing packages would get updated. I tried to check the /etc/ppp/options to see if "silent" was uncommented in the file.

Nothing work. What can I do to troubleshoot the issue ?

Edit 1:

  • Os version: Ubuntu 22.04 Jammy Jellyfish
  • openfortissl version: 1.17.1-1build1

See https://github.com/adrienverge/openfortivpn/wiki#debugging-openfortivpn.

It would help to have additional information: version of Ubuntu, version of openfortivpn, logs, etc.

Thanks for the advice I just edited my post.

I'll try the link troubleshooting tips tomorrow at work.

It would be better to test the latest version 1.21.0, although I doubt it can help in this specific case.

I am not certain I understand the difference between the case that works and the case that doesn't.
