Starting from Go 1.7, Cgo supports Fortran. I created a version which can be installed without make idavydov/go-lbfgsb@058cdc0.
For old Go versions you can still use make, for Go 1.7 or later you can install with
go get github.com/idavydov/go-lbfgsb
If you are interested, I can create a pull request for your master branch.

Ok, thanks @idavydov, I'll look into this. I had noticed in the release notes for Go 1.7 that this was coming. I don't have the bandwidth to get to this right now, but I'll schedule a day or two in early March to take care of this and the other issue with Cgo.
