To document the last portion of the discussion in the meeting today. IDE, Rick described the AFRL IDE escalating model consisting of a local Repository, a Digital Lab for testing, and an Enterprise IDE with growing levels of complexity and interchanges. Dave shared the idea that an AI/AGI agent will likely be needed as the IDE facilitator to manage and optimize the collaboration traffic across the various IDE environments (i.e. the AI recognizes that Rick at AFRL is working on this task which is similar or related to Ryan working on a different task at The Aerospace Corporation, so it makes a summary and introduction to both Rick and Ryan across Enterprises that suggests they collaborate). In traditional organizations the left hand does not always know what the right hand is doing. With an AI IDE Facilitator, the octopus in multiple organizations can be kept appraised of what every tentacle is up to and coordinate a synergistic collaboration to achieve the mission.
