Summary

  • Activate is deprecating its service in 12 months and we must implement its functionality on our own.
  • We propose that contributors mobilize to develop community-owned staking and rewards functionality integrated directly into www.airswap.io.

Specification

Functional:

  • Stake, view stakes, and unstake AirSwap Tokens (AST)
  • Browse votes and navigate to Snapshot for voting
  • Browse and claim rewards for participating in individual Snapshot votes
  • Enable rewards for batches of completed Snapshot votes (Admin)

Technical:

  • Open source and zero infrastructure
  • Staking to remain on Ethereum
  • Voting rewards to be multi-chain
  • Integrated into web app at www.airswap.io

Rationale

AirSwap’s DAO launch was supported by the Codefi Activate platform to enable our community to participate in the new decentralized governance process and earn rewards for their time and attention. We are grateful for this essential partnership.

We have been notified by Activate of the deprecation of this platform in 12 months. In the meantime we believe that AirSwap has the capability to develop its own staking and voting rewards and to bring this functionality into the domain of the DAO.
